Landscape installation in progress at the front of a new home

Landscape installation, done properly.

Trees, shrubs, beds, lawn and finish grading for homes and commercial properties in Aldie, Leesburg, Chantilly and across Northern Virginia.

Landscape Installation

Planted right, so it takes.

Most plants that fail in their first two years were planted too deep, in poor soil or in the wrong spot. Installation is unglamorous work, and it is where a landscape either gets a strong start or a slow decline.

We prepare the soil, set plants at the right depth, mulch correctly and leave you with plain watering instructions. If the grade needs correcting so water runs away from the house, we deal with that before anything goes in the ground.

We install our own designs and are glad to build from a plan you already have.

What We Install

Everything that goes in the ground.

  • Trees and shrubs

Shade trees, ornamentals, evergreens and foundation shrubs, sited for their mature size.

  • Planting beds

New beds cut, amended, planted and mulched, or tired beds stripped back and redone.

  • Sod and seed

New lawns from sod or seed, including the soil preparation that decides how well they establish.

  • Finish grading

Soil shaped so water moves away from the house and the lawn mows cleanly.

  • Mulch and edging

Clean bed edges and an even layer of mulch to hold moisture and keep weeds down.

  • Overseeding and topdressing

Thin lawns thickened up with quality seed and a layer of compost or topsoil.

How An Estimate Works

Walk it, price it, put it in writing.

  1. Call or send the form

Tell us what you have in mind. A sentence is enough to start.

  2. We walk the property with you

We look at grade, drainage and how you use the space, and tell you honestly what it needs.

  3. You get a written estimate

We follow up with the price in writing. Estimates and design consultations are free.

Good Questions

Asked before every install.

When is the best time to plant?

Fall and spring are the easiest seasons for new plants in Northern Virginia. Fall is especially good for trees, shrubs and grass seed because roots establish while the weather is cool.

Will you install a plan drawn by someone else?

Yes. Send it over or show it to us on the site walk and we will give you a written estimate to build it.

Do you remove old plants and overgrown beds first?

Yes. Clearing out what is there, including shrubs that have outgrown their spot, is part of most installations.

Can you maintain it after it goes in?

Yes. We offer lawn and bed maintenance so the new landscape keeps looking the way it did on day one.

How does pricing work?

We walk the property with you, then follow up with a written estimate. Estimates and design consultations are free.

Which areas do you serve?

We are based in Aldie and work across Loudoun and Fairfax Counties, including Leesburg, Ashburn, South Riding, Stone Ridge, Brambleton, Chantilly, Sterling and Centreville.
