Tree removal and trimming, handled safely.
Removals, pruning and storm cleanup for homes and commercial properties in Aldie, Leesburg, Chantilly and across Northern Virginia. Licensed, bonded and insured.
Down safely, or trimmed to thrive.
A tree over a roof, a fence or a driveway is not a weekend project. We take trees down in sections, under control, and leave the yard clean. Where a tree can be kept, careful pruning usually does more good than removal.
Every job starts with a look at the tree and what is around it: the house, the fence, the neighbour's shed, the lines overhead. That decides how we climb it, how we rig it and where each piece comes down.
When the work is done we chip the brush, haul the wood unless you want to keep it, and rake up. If you want the stump gone too, we can grind it below grade.

Tree work, from crown to stump.
Tree removal
Dead, damaged or badly placed trees taken down in controlled sections.
Tight-access removals
Trees beside fences, sheds and houses, rigged and lowered rather than dropped.
Trimming and pruning
Deadwood removed, crowns raised and thinned, and limbs cleared from roofs and drives.
Storm cleanup
Fallen limbs and downed trees cut up and cleared.
Stump grinding
Stumps ground below grade so you can seed, sod or plant over them.
Cleanup and haul-away
Brush chipped, wood removed and the lawn raked before we leave.
In the tree and on the ground.

Walk it, price it, put it in writing.

Tell us what you have in mind. A sentence is enough to start.
We walk the property with you
We look at the tree, what is underneath it and how we can get to it, and tell you honestly what it needs.
You get a written estimate
We follow up with the price in writing. Estimates and design consultations are free.
Asked before every tree job.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Cardinal Ridge is licensed, bonded and insured. Documentation is available on request.
How do I know whether a tree should come down?
Large dead limbs, a lean that has changed, cracks in the trunk, or mushrooms at the base are all worth a look. We will tell you honestly whether the tree can be pruned and kept or should be removed.
Do you grind the stump as well?
Yes, if you want it. Stump grinding is quoted as its own line so you can decide.
Do you clean up afterwards?
Yes. Brush is chipped, wood is hauled away unless you ask to keep it, and the area is raked.
How does pricing work?
We walk the property with you, then follow up with a written estimate. Estimates and design consultations are free.
Which areas do you serve?
We are based in Aldie and work across Loudoun and Fairfax Counties, including Leesburg, Ashburn, South Riding, Stone Ridge, Brambleton, Chantilly, Sterling and Centreville.
